Job summary

Flik Hospitality Group in Boston is seeking a Senior Sous Chef to support the Culinary Department's successful operation at our facility. You will assist in supervision, preparation, and cooking of various items, helping develop daily menus and ordering with the Executive Chef.

This role offers hands-on culinary leadership in a high-volume environment, with opportunities to roll out new programs in collaboration with marketing and culinary teams, and to contribute to cost controls and catering

Qualifications

• A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience is preferred.
• High-volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience can be helpful.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends, quality production, sanitation and cost controls.
• Computers proficiency: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Email and Internet.
• Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs/activities.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team.

Education

A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or culinary certificate and required experience
