Job summary

CareSource in Kentucky is seeking a senior sourcing professional to deliver enterprise-wide vendor management services, lead category management, and mentor the sourcing team to optimize contracts, reduce risk, and drive value across the organization.

You will partner with business owners, collaborate with Legal, manage supplier diversity, and guide strategic initiatives through ROI analyses and policy development to ensure compliant, cost-effective procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, materials management, logistics or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of experience in strategic sourcing, vendor relations, contract development, procurement process/policy and negotiation.
• Master’s degree in business administration preferred.
• Experience in healthcare procurement and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead category strategy sessions and roadmaps for sourcing needs.
• Mentor and coach category team members.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and benchmark prices.
• Consolidate or bundle organization-wide requirements to reduce risk and costs.
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure contract review and approvals.
• Manage supplier diversity and local economic development programs.
