Job summary

Kroger is seeking an experienced procurement professional to lead category management activities, drive strategic sourcing, and negotiate complex supplier contracts. You will partner with business stakeholders to optimize the supplier base, monitor financial performance, and deliver targeted savings while upholding Kroger’s values.

Responsibilities include coordinating sourcing efforts, leading SRM initiatives, and managing a team of analysts to achieve category goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Retail, CPG, or related disciplines.
5 years’ experience within the pertinent category.
Oral and written communication skills to formulate strategies in a complex business environment.
MBA or Master’s degree.
CPM/CPSM, CSCP or equivalent certification.
5 years’ experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.

Responsibilities

Category Management and strategy development with business stakeholders.
Define and review procurement strategy and project pipeline.
Perform periodic financial reviews to assess category performance.
Identify suppliers to extend terms, improve cash flow, and margins.
Negotiate and execute complex contracts with suppliers.
Coordinate sourcing activities and manage analysts to meet goals.
Lead SRM activities to create value and drive improvements.
Oversee supplier qualification and transition plans.
Develop trusted relationships with business partners and ensure stakeholder involvement.
