Job summary

CareSource is seeking a Senior Category Manager to deliver enterprise-wide vendor management services and lead category management. You will mentor sourcing teams, partner with business owners, and drive contract terms that optimize spend while managing risk.

Responsibilities include market analysis, cost optimization, and collaboration with Legal and Treasury, plus fostering supplier diversity and regulatory compliance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred.
• Minimum five years in strategic sourcing, vendor relations and contract development.
• Experience in health care procurement and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver category strategic sessions and develop roadmaps and prioritized sourcing needs.
• Mentor category team members and ensure alignment with business owners and priorities.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities and benchmark prices.
• Identify consolidation opportunities to reduce risk and lower costs.
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure contract review and approvals per policy.
• Manage supplier diversity and support local economic development.
• Analyze ROI and financials to support investment proposals and initiatives.
• Drive KPIs and coordinate cross‑functional teams to deliver results.
