Job summary

LMI Consulting, LLC in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Systems-of-Systems SME Lead to provide strategic and technical leadership for PMOD's integration across USBP and CBP. This role applies enterprise architecture and systems engineering to ensure interoperable capabilities across multiple programs and domains.

The Senior SME Lead guides integration, coordinates with stakeholders, and informs acquisition, testing, deployment, and sustainment decisions in mission-focused environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive systems engineering, systems integration, or enterprise architecture experience.
• 5+ years leading complex, multi-system federal or mission-focused integration initiatives.
• Experience applying systems-of-systems engineering to plan, design, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain capabilities.
• Experience working across programs, vendors, and government stakeholders to manage dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PMOD's senior systems-of-systems engineering and enterprise integration advisor for USBP and CBP initiatives.
• Develop a systems-of-systems approach enabling interoperable, scalable mission capabilities across programs and domains.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of sensors, AI analytics, communications, data platforms, and unmanned systems.
• Identify dependencies, risks, constraints, and lifecycle considerations affecting outcomes.
• Develop repeatable engineering approaches, reference architectures, and governance processes.
• Assist in defining enterprise architecture artifacts and integration roadmaps.
• Coordinate across PMOD, CBP programs, and stakeholders to align requirements and priorities.
• Advise leadership on feasibility, risks, costs, and sustainment of investments and modernization.
• Support acquisition planning with integration requirements and verification approaches.
