Job summary

Hall Management Group is seeking a passionate Sommelier for Halls Chophouse to educate guests on our wine list and elevate the dining experience. You will lead the wine program, manage inventory, purchasing, and budgeting, while delivering hospitality-focused service that makes guests feel at home at the table and with the wines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years as a sommelier in a high-volume setting, strong interpersonal and sales skills, and a commitment to ongoing education in wine, spirits,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience as Sommelier in high volume restaurant or steakhouse.
• Strong interpersonal and sales skills.
• Must have valid South Carolina State Approved Alcohol Server Training Certificate.
• Previous experience as a Sommelier, Wine Steward or Hospitality role.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Adherence to alcohol handling laws and regulations.
• Interest in continuing education.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Certification in the Court of Master Sommeliers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Educate guests on the wine list and regional nuances.
• Lead and uphold the wine program, including inventory, purchasing and budgeting.
• Provide hospitality-driven service and wine education to guests.
• Collaborate with front-of-house and kitchen teams to optimize guest experience.
