Job summary

Splunk, a Cisco company, seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer (m/f/d) to join the German Strategic sales team. You will be the technical sales resource, bridging security and observability use-cases with customer workflows and tooling.

As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll present, guide, and position Splunk capabilities to optimize customer outcomes, collaborating with Solution Architects and professional services across Germany. Fluent German and English required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in selling and delivering enterprise software solutions for cloud, on-premise and hybrid environments.
• 5+ years related experience working in or recommending SaaS delivery model.
• 5+ years relevant experience in cyber security and/or observability is highly desired.
• Ability to create, lead and evolve a customer technical account strategy with supporting resources.
• Ability to establish trusted technical advisor status with customers.
• Familiarity with programming and scripting (e.g. Python, Javascript).
• Minimum 3 years practical experience with public cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Minimum 3 years experience of current infrastructure and application monitoring solutions; SIEM/Observability space a must.
• Experience in security space like EDR, XDR, SOC, SOAR, ITOps is a plus.
• Native German and fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain deep expertise of Splunk’s portfolio and its alignment to customer challenges.
• Own Splunk’s portfolio, engagement, and customer experience in accounts.
• Drive deeper penetration of Splunk’s products within accounts.
• Operationalize Splunk’s hybrid/cloud solutions in customer environments.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customer personas.
• Assemble and lead Splunk technical resources to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Evangelize Splunk use-cases at events and with customers/partners in your region.
