Job summary

Obsidian Security is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to drive the technical evaluation stage of the sales cycle and mentor team members, with a focus on SaaS security and API integrations. This 100% remote role offers regional flexibility in the US Northeast, opportunities to collaborate with sales and product teams, and a path to leadership as the team scales.

Ideal candidates have strong software engineering background, offensive/defensive security experience, and exceptional communication

Qualifications

• Strong blend of communication and technical skills to be the field-facing ambassador.
• Expert-level knowledge of cybersecurity, especially Cloud and SaaS security concerns.
• Experience interacting with APIs, integrations, and middleware.
• Competitive and market intelligence reconnaissance abilities.
• Understanding of routes to market and ability to represent Obsidian with partnerships.
• Experience with cybersecurity solution stacks and how Obsidian is complementary or competitive.
• Presentation skills for crafting and delivering thought-leadership presentations at security conferences and webinars.
• Willingness to travel depending on opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Actively drive and manage the technical evaluation stage of the sales process.
• Mentor and build the team in the regional footprint.
• Collaborate with sales to technically advise on the sale of Obsidian solutions.
• Be the subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions.
• Partner with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle.
