Job summary

ZeroTier seeks a Senior Solutions Engineer to be the technical counterpart to Sales, owning discovery, architecture, demos, and POV engagements end-to-end. You’ll work on multi-cloud, IoT/OT, embedded solutions, and SD-WAN-like topologies, collaborating with engineers and CISOs to demonstrate value.

You will respond to security questionnaires, translate CNSA, FIPS, and post-quantum requirements into concrete answers, and support pre-sales with battle cards and POV runbooks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, network engineering, or technical consulting with at least 3 years in pre-sales.
• Deep networking fundamentals including OSI, TCP/IP, routing, NAT traversal, and overlay/underlay concepts.
• Comfort proving things at the packet level with Wireshark/tcpdump/pcap analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and qualification with Sales Directors, mapping customer requirements to architectures.
• Design, scope, and run POVs with clear success criteria and exit decisions for deployments from tens to tens of thousands of nodes.
• Deliver compelling demos and whiteboard sessions for engineers, CISOs, and procurement execs.
• Architect solutions across hosted or self-hosted control planes and orchestration layers, including SSO/OIDC integrations.
