Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Specialist Solutions Engineer to help design, scope, and position outcomes-based managed services across infrastructure, cloud, Microsoft, networking, security, and observability. You will collaborate with clients, account teams, and service delivery leaders to define objectives, transition plans, and long-term support strategy.

This role requires building proposals, pricing inputs, and service descriptions, while ensuring a clean handoff into onboarding and Day 2 operations.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years selling/designing enterprise infrastructure or managed services.
• Strong ability to translate client needs into scoped managed services.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.
• Willing to travel and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and scoping for managed services across infra, cloud, Microsoft, networking, storage, backup/data protection, virtualization, VDI, service desk, and security operations.
• Design integrated, outcomes-based support models with 24x7 monitoring and event management.
• Develop client-facing proposals, service descriptions, pricing inputs, and solution summaries.
• Collaborate with delivery, client success, project and account teams to validate supportability and transitions.
• Present solutions to clients and internal stakeholders; identify expansion opportunities.
