Job summary

Darktrace is seeking a Solutions Engineer on the Acquisition Team to partner with Account Executives and drive net-new business from discovery through evaluation and business justification.

In this customer-facing pre-sales role, you will translate complex cybersecurity risks into measurable outcomes, design scalable deployments across network, cloud, and hybrid environments, and deliver engaging demos to SOC teams and executives.

Qualifications

• Background in pre-sales/solutions engineering in cybersecurity or SaaS with a track record of supporting net-new business.
• Strong knowledge of networking, cloud, and security architectures.
• Experience with SOC tools and hybrid environments.
• Ability to design solutions, run demos/PoCs, and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead all technical aspects of new business deals from discovery to close, owning momentum at each stage.
• Align solutions to SOC workflows and quantify ROI and business outcomes.
• Architect scalable deployments across Network, Email, Cloud, Identity, Endpoint and more.
• Deliver high-impact demos and translate complex cybersecurity concepts for technical and executive audiences.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success to accelerate deals.
