Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Lead Solutions Design Engineer to develop and deliver value-focused logistics solutions for customers. You will design, model, and validate transportation and warehousing networks, mentor junior engineers, and help win new business through compelling proposals.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, advanced analytics, and strong communication to translate complex designs into actionable plans for customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering.
• Six+ years in Transportation and Warehousing sectors.
• Excellent command of MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with visualization tools and data analytics.

Responsibilities

• Review objectives in RFPs and develop solution designs to meet customer needs.
• Develop cost and pricing models with IT and Pricing teams.
• Lead optimization scenarios aligned with project objectives.
• Present designs and verify with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Manage startup transition of design and proposals to Operations teams.
