Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Senior Solutions Architect to guide architectural strategy and implementation across products and services. You will develop and defend full lifecycle architectures, write operations concepts, and lead design discussions with capture and proposal teams.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, active TS/SCI with poly preferred, and a BS in CS or related field.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience
• Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance, with Poly clearance strongly preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Supports business by developing technical and business solutions.
• Identify solutions based on business and technical criteria, analyzes alternatives based on trade space, and implements designs.
• Research current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed.
• Assess the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements.
• Ensure technical architecture teams deliver efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives.
• Develop, enhance and maintain established service design procedure and process by applying process frameworks and methodologies.
• Prepare and present test plan, technical presentations, and analyst briefings.
• Identify customer requirements, analyze alternatives and conduct product recommendations related to software, platform and network configurations.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on project cost, schedule, and quality in comparison to stakeholder objectives.
• Provides expert guidance and leadership to less-experienced colleagues.
• May serve as a task or project leader. (Not a people manager)
• Recognized as an industry leader in a specific technology.
