Job summary

CIS Secure is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure communications solutions from Ashburn, VA. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote flexibility and up to 50% travel to support customer engagements and industry events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required; Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry designing military-hardened IT systems.
• U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary architect of new solutions and projects. Work with customers to translate mission and technical requirements into CIS product architectures.
• Lead requirements documentation and design alternatives; oversee solution development, planning, bidding, pricing, and execution.
• Interface with government stakeholders, cybersecurity engineers, and system integrators to ensure DoD-aligned architectures and compliance.
• Design and integrate classified network architectures spanning unclassified through Secret classifications and TEMPEST standards.
• Architect hybrid transport designs bridging backhaul links (SATCOM, 5G, LOS, MANET) and secure audio/data switching.
• Support recruitment, assignment of duties, and implementation schedules; monitor timelines and ensure regulatory compliance.
