Job summary

Paychex is seeking a Senior Architect in the United States to provide technical and architectural leadership across a portfolio of products, programs and agile teams. You will define high-level design and set architectural direction to deliver unified, scalable solutions.

You will develop future state architectures, roadmaps, SOA practices, and enforce security and performance standards while mentoring junior architects and collaborating with product and engineering leaders to drive innovation

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, software development or related field required.
Master's degree in CS, software development or related field preferred.
10+ years of experience in design and development of orchestration/integration components with middleware.
10+ years of experience building scalable web/mobile enterprise applications.
Experience transforming an On-prem SAAS to cloud.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership for agile teams and define software architectural approach.
Develop future state architectures and roadmaps, enforcing SOA practices and security standards.
Collaborate with Sr. Development Managers, Directors and PMs to meet portfolio goals.
Create and maintain technical documentation on architectural standards and components.
Evaluate external services and manage 3rd party dependencies.
Mentor junior architects and tech leads to ensure consistency.
Apply new technologies to advance business objectives and productivity.
Monitor industry trends to inform tool selection and strategy.
