Job summary

Databricks Inc. seeks a Solutions Architect (L5) to lead the technical strategy for customers, owning architecture discussions, driving platform adoption, and acting as a trusted advisor to customer technical leads and architects.

You will design scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, coordinate cross-functional resources, and influence product direction based on customer feedback and competitive insights.

Qualifications

6+ years in solutions architecture or related senior technical roles.
Strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL with live coding demonstrations.
Deep expertise in distributed data systems architecture: scalable pipelines, streaming, lakehouse patterns.
Proficient on the Databricks Platform with cloud deployment experience.
Experience leading architecture discussions with senior stakeholders and doing design reviews.
Databricks certifications (Data Engineer, ML, Platform).
Experience with competitive platforms such as Snowflake, AWS native services, Azure Synapse.
Background in a data/AI company or cloud provider; industry domain knowledge in Financial Services, Healthcare, or Retail.

Responsibilities

Lead complex architecture discussions for scalable, production-grade data/AI solutions.
Serve as trusted advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
Drive technical wins by demonstrating differentiation through custom solutions.
Orchestrate cross-functional resources (DSAs, SSAs, Partners) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Influence product direction via customer feedback and competitive gaps.
