Job summary

SCS Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer and/or Project Manager to perform solid waste projects in South Florida. Hybrid work options available in West Palm Beach or Coconut Creek.

You will prepare engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications and serve as Engineer of Record for public and private clients. Responsibilities include engineering design, client communications, and staff coordination, with primary focus on landfill gas, landfills, composting, and related

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering required.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant solid waste consulting experience.
• Florida PE registration preferred or eligibility for reciprocity within 6 months.
• Proficient with MS Office; AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering tasks, calculations, drawings, and reports.
• Prepare permit applications and serve as Engineer of Record on projects.
• Coordinate with clients, staff, and meetings.
• Conduct field activities and site assessments as needed.
• Support business development and client proposals.
