Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking an Advanced Solar Technician to assist in operating and maintaining a Chalk Bluff Solar Energy Center site. The role requires performing routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar equipment and substations, with a focus on safe operation and efficient problem solving.

The position travel may be up to 30% regionally, with night shifts during maintenance windows and outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in renewable energy ops & maintenance OR 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb/work safely from a portable ladder.
• Proficient in following procedures with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and equipment.
• Vegetation management and operating large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, ground, and substation issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear to inspect and repair equipment.
