Job summary

Dylan Green is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead distributed generation battery storage and solar projects from origination to NTP. You will own project strategy, risk management, and execution, working with cross-functional teams to deliver financeable projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include securing land rights, coordinating with owners and government entities, and guiding teams to meet milestones while overseeing development spend and profitability.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in business, engineering, property development, urban planning, or a similar discipline.
• At least five years advancing energy, infrastructure, or other physical asset investments.
• Demonstrated success guiding projects independently through complicated development requirements.
• Sound judgment in identifying obstacles and choosing practical paths forward.
• Understanding of land use rules, zoning, and approval procedures for power/assets.
• Knowledge of property agreements, ownership and title matters, and real estate taxation.
• Track record securing discretionary authorizations in municipalities with demanding processes.
• Financial acumen including oversight of development spending and profitability.
• Willingness to take responsibility for project performance and results.
• Ability to set priorities and follow through with limited supervision.
• Strong communication and collaborative leadership; build consensus without direct authority.
• Availability for frequent travel and in-person stakeholder meetings.
• Advanced study such as MBA or another graduate degree preferred.
• Experience bringing front-of-meter solar or storage through development is a plus.
• Involvement in asset dispositions or transitions to investment partners is advantageous.
• Knowledge of solar/storage incentives and markets is beneficial.
• Experience succeeding in small, rapidly expanding development organizations.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for front-of-meter solar and energy storage opportunities from initial sourcing to NTP.
• Secure land rights by structuring and negotiating leases, acquisitions, easements, and title resolutions.
• Act as the main point of contact for property owners, local government representatives, and residents.
• Bring together junior development staff, operations specialists, engineers, finance professionals, and executives to keep milestones on track.
• Oversee development spending and financial projections, making decisions that strengthen each asset’s value.
• Evaluate opportunities to determine whether to progress, change direction, or discontinue.
