Job summary

UGE International in the United States is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead complex community solar, distributed generation, and solar+ storage initiatives. You will oversee interconnection, permitting, surveying, offtake structuring, and financial modeling, while mentoring junior developers.

The role emphasizes expertise in community solar and net metering, with preference for FTM DG BESS experience.

Qualifications

6-8 years of renewable energy development experience, preferably community solar.
Subject matter expertise in community solar, DG solar + storage, and net metering.
Experience in BESS development; FTM DG BESS preferred.
Proven track record advancing projects from origination to NTP/COD.
Strong analytical skills to interpret data and solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

Lead complex development efforts for assigned projects with minimal oversight.
Own development across land use, permitting, interconnection, surveying, and offtake structuring.
Mentor junior developers and support their professional growth.
Coordinate with engineering, legal, procurement, project finance, and deployment teams.
Oversee milestones and budgets in scheduling and ERP platforms.
Support lease, LOI, PPAs, and other long-term agreements negotiations.
Manage external vendors and consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget.
Perform due diligence and advanced financial analysis for opportunities.
Identify and mitigate risks and drive opportunities for project success.
Contribute to process improvements and market expansion strategies.
