Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support operational excellence across a portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage assets in the Abilene, Texas area.

This field-based role reports to the Director of Operations and acts as an O&M subject matter expert, overseeing third-party providers and collaborating with Asset Management, Engineering, and Construction teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience managing operations teams or service providers.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale solar operations and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations for solar and energy storage assets across a portfolio.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to Lightsource bp procedures.
• Manage and evaluate third-party O&M and other service providers.
