Job summary
Lightsource bp is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee a portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage assets in the Abilene, Texas area. This field-based role requires regular site presence and the ability to work on-site for at least two weeks each month.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Proven experience leading operations for solar or energy storage assets.
- Strong knowledge of utility-scale power plant operations and maintenance.
- Experience managing third-party O&M providers is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead operations for a portfolio of solar and battery energy storage assets.
- Promote safety culture and ensure work aligns with procedures.
- Manage third-party O&M and other service providers.
- Conduct performance reviews and audits of O&M providers.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and warranty requirements.
- Monitor compliance with interconnection agreements and applicable standards.
- Lead investigations into outages and performance issues.
- Analyze asset performance and implement improvements.
- Develop procedures for outages, de-energization, and handoffs.
