Job summary

The role requires strong PV design experience, knowledge of codes and standards, and a proactive, collaborative approach to project delivery. Travel to site locations will be necessary as projects advance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Deep experience with concept development, design, and construction of utility-scale solar PV systems.
• Proficiency with PVcase for single line diagrams and layouts.
• Knowledge of solar-plus-storage architectures.
• Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, UL 1703/UL 3703, and interconnection requirements.
• Experience coordinating with EPCs, vendors, and engineering consultants.
• Ability to own projects in a fast-moving environment.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Own solar PV system design at concept and preliminary levels for utility-scale solar-plus-storage projects.
• Define technical scope and Basis of Design, handing off to detailed design teams and EPC partners.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for solar PV scope across internal and external parties.
• Evaluate site conditions during early feasibility to confirm buildable area and performance assumptions.
• Identify and document interconnection, permitting, and code requirements for solar scope.
• Review equipment vendors and proposals and make PV equipment recommendations.
• Support construction and commissioning on site to verify installation against design intent.
