Job summary

Capitol-Valley-Electric-Inc.-1 in Fresno, CA is seeking a Commercial Solar & BESS Superintendent to lead on-site solar PV and battery storage projects across California. The role requires extensive travel, strong electrical expertise, and hands-on leadership to keep projects safe, on schedule, and within budget.

You will coordinate electrical, civil, structural, and commissioning teams, review drawings and specifications, and ensure compliance with NEC, CBC, CEC, and Title 24.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in commercial or utility-scale solar construction with superintendent or lead foreman experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of solar PV and BESS systems, including installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong electrical background with understanding of NEC and California electrical codes.
• Ability to travel extensively across California to multiple project sites.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site superintendent for commercial solar PV and BESS installations.
• Coordinate daily construction activities across multiple trades (electrical, civil, structural, commissioning).
• Manage site logistics, sequencing, manpower, and productivity.
• Travel to project sites across California; coordinate with project managers, contractors, and AHJs.
• Oversee safety, compliance with NEC, CBC, CEC and Title 24; conduct daily tailboards/JHAs.
