SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects in Connecticut. The role covers contract execution through completion, overseeing schedule, budget, procurement, and client communications.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years in commercial electrical or renewable energy project management, strong NEC knowledge, and proven leadership in a fast-paced construction setting with multiple stakeholders, including utilities and municipalities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, electrical construction, or utility-scale solar.
• Strong understanding of NEC and electrical construction practices.
• Experience managing projects exceeding 500 kW preferred.
• Experience with municipal contracts and public bid work preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across CT (rooftop, ground mount, carport).
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish clear execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines.
• Manage procurement of major equipment (modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers, BOS).
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection and approvals.
• Track budgets and monitor costs to maintain margins.
• Review subcontracts and vendor agreements; manage RFIs and change orders.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the lifecycle.
