Job summary

Management Performance Associates is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects in Connecticut. The role covers kickoff, scheduling, procurement, utility coordination, and client communication.

You will manage multiple sites, ensure budget targets, read drawings, and supervise subcontractors from contract execution to completion. Hybrid work with site visits across CT is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of PM experience in commercial construction or utility-scale solar.
• Strong NEC knowledge and electrical construction practices.
• Experience with projects exceeding 500 kW.
• Experience with municipal contracts/public bid work.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics.
• Strong budgeting and cost control experience.
• Proficiency in PM software and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects (rooftop, ground mount, carport, and portfolio-based) across Connecticut.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and establish execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (critical path, long lead items, utility coordination timelines).
• Manage procurement of major equipment including modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers, and balance of system materials.
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, witness testing, and approvals.
• Track project budgets and monitor costs to maintain margin targets.
• Review and manage subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Submit and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent is executed correctly.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition at project completion.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
