Job summary

Moss & Associates LLC seeks a Project Engineer/Senior Project Engineer, Civil, to join the Energy division in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will coordinate cross-disciplinary design files, review civil/structural plans for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, and support earthwork and site grading efforts.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, estimating earthwork, and mentoring junior staff while traveling nationwide for site visits and technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 0-1+ years' experience as a Project Engineer and 2+ years' Senior Project Engineer in solar construction or similar.
• Knowledge of electrical design, materials, and power systems construction.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings from multiple engineers and align digital files across disciplines.
• Own portions of the project lifecycle from design to construction support.
• Estimate earthwork volumes using Civil3D and survey data.
• Collaborate with field teams to develop earthwork and foundation plans.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members on the engineering team.
