Job summary

Nextpower in Fremont, California, seeks a Senior Technical Product Manager for Solar Plant IoT Systems to drive roadmaps, lead cross-functional teams from concept to launch, and define product requirements for sensor and camera-based monitoring solutions at solar sites.

Requirements include 5+ years in product management, IoT and MODBUS experience, embedded firmware know-how, solar plant SCADA familiarity, and an advanced engineering degree.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of product management experience with related products.
• Track record of successfully launching complex products.
• Experience delivering business value from IoT systems.
• Experience with IoT/MODBUS communication, field instrumentation, camera systems, telemetry, or other electromechanical systems.
• Experience with electronics and firmware product development.
• Experience with solar plant SCADA and operation.
• Ability to write clear and measurable product requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• An advanced degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain clear product roadmaps.
• Lead product development from conceptualization to launch and collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and other teams.
• Communicate state of product and development programs across the company to various teams.
• Manage product improvement programs for advanced vision systems including hardware, embedded software, and AI image processing.
• Manage product improvement programs for soiling measurement systems, weather stations, and other sensing systems at solar projects.
