Job summary

Nextpower seeks a Manager of Project Engineering - Integrated Solutions to lead the technical development and execution of fully integrated distributed-generation solar projects from Fremont, CA. You'll guide a cross-functional team, establish scalable engineering standards, and influence design, constructability, and delivery across regions.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Structural/Mechanical/Electrical Eng or related field with 8–12 years of experience; or MS with 6–8 years; or PhD with 3–5 years.
• Extensive experience leading multidisciplinary engineering activities for utility-scale solar projects.
• Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
• Advanced understanding of solar project development, interfaces, and design deliverables.
• Ability to implement engineering standards, procedures, and quality reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of project engineers for 5–30 MW integrated DG solar projects.
• Provide advanced technical direction for tracker layouts, CAD blocks, and electrical designs.
• Evaluate site inputs and codes to determine engineering approaches.
• Lead product selection based on site conditions, cost, and performance.
• Coordinate topographic, geotechnical, civil, and electrical reviews for design.
