Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field crews on utility-scale solar projects, overseeing racking, module installation, trackers, and related mechanical scopes with a focus on safety and quality.

You will coordinate with civil and electrical teams, manage subcontractors, monitor progress, and ensure work aligns with drawings and manufacturer requirements, while reporting milestones to project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, ME, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.
• Background in structural steel, racking systems, or large-scale mechanical installation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical installation activities (racking, module mounting, trackers).
• Coordinate with civil and electrical superintendents to align sequences.
• Promote site safety and OSHA compliance.
• Monitor productivity and adjust schedules as needed.
• Interface with engineering teams and vendors to resolve issues.
• Track progress and report to leadership.
