Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to oversee field activities for utility-scale solar projects. You will lead racking, module installation, trackers, and balance-of-plant work, ensuring safety, quality, and timely execution.

You will coordinate with civil/electrical teams, supervise crews and subcontractors, and interface with engineering and vendors to resolve issues while maintaining schedules and budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent field experience.
• 7+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mechanical installation activities (racking, module mounting, trackers, structural components).
• Coordinate with civil and electrical superintendents to align work sequences.
• Ensure activities meet drawings, specs, and manufacturer requirements.
• Monitor crew productivity; implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead mechanical foremen, crews, and subcontractors on site; mentor staff.
• Interface with engineering teams, vendors, and clients to resolve issues.
• Develop lookahead schedules and manpower plans; track progress and equipment needs.
