Job summary

Sun Tribe EPC is seeking a Mechanical Superintendent to lead field mechanical construction on utility-scale solar projects in Virginia, with focus on racking, trackers, and commissioning readiness. You will coordinate with Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence on site.

The role reports to the Senior Quality & Commissioning Manager and requires travel to project sites across Virginia and neighboring states,

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical construction and installation of utility-scale solar projects.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and installation practices.
• Current, valid driver’s license and eligibility for corporate vehicle insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Oversees mechanical installation scopes (racking/tracker) and monitors subcontractor performance.
• Coordinates workflow, sequencing, and accountability for subcontractors.
• Develops production trackers and reports progress to project teams.
• Resolves field issues related to installation, pile remediation, and commissioning.
• Supports mechanical drawing reviews and constructability assessments.
• Leads mechanical tracker commissioning activities and troubleshooting.
