Job summary

SunEnergy1 is seeking an Electrical Superintendent to lead on-site electrical construction for utility-scale solar projects, overseeing DC, AC, and MV systems. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage field crews, and serve as the liaison between field operations and project management.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies per OSHA/NFPA 70E, ensuring compliance with drawings and codes, and maintaining documentation and punch lists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/electrical training preferred.
• 7+ years electrical construction experience; 3+ years supervisory on utility-scale solar/renewable projects.
• Experience with MV 15kV–35kV and high-voltage substation tie-ins.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NESC, NFPA 70E and electrical standards.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and electrical plans; Procore/MS Project experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise electrical subcontractors and field crews during installation of solar modules, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and MV collection systems.
• Ensure installations meet project drawings, specifications, NEC, NESC, and local codes.
• Oversee trenching, cable pulling, terminations, grounding, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain daily on-site presence to verify progress, safety, and quality.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with Project Manager/Construction Manager; coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials.
• Track daily production, crew hours, equipment usage, and material deliveries; document as-built work.
