Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities. The role is based full-time at a Cantil, CA job site, with responsibilities including testing, diagnosis, repair, and documentation using monitoring platforms.

The position requires safety-first execution, ability to work remotely in extreme weather, and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certifications required or in progress.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and safely de-energize equipment.
• Experience with PV systems and solar equipment testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair with minimal supervision.
• Provide on-call service at assigned solar facilities.
• Create and manage service tickets from start to finish (Sprocket system).
• Maintain accurate time and material documentation for work performed.
• Supervise and train Solar Technician Level I employees as needed.
• Ensure safety regulations and procedures are followed on site.
