Job summary

SOLV Energy is a leading provider of infrastructure services to the power industry, specializing in solar, storage and substation projects. This position starts as a contingent role with potential to become permanent and involves essential field service duties across sites.

The role emphasizes safety and requires experience in solar facility maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and coordination with PMs and IT/SCADA teams. On-call work and travel to remote plants may be involved.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Minimum four years of experience in solar facility maintenance and repair.
• Demonstrate advanced computer operation skills and ability to operate system monitoring applications.
• Advanced knowledge of solar systems/plants, protection devices, control devices, power supplies, loads, conductors, inverters and transformers.
• Ability to troubleshoot network and telemetry issues.
• Ability to pass exams on electrical schematics/symbols and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Valid OSHA 30 certification.
• Valid NFPA 70e Safety Training certification.
• Keep current in safety and technical trainings.
• Self-sufficient and safe under varied conditions.
• Strong verbal and written English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Stresses safety as the top priority and enforces safe practices.
• Perform and supervise Field Service Technician Levels I–IV responsibilities.
• Lead site maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting per management.
• Direct safety regulations and work procedures for the team.
• Provide ongoing training for technicians and prepare required site operation reports.
• Collaborate with EPC management on process improvements and technology implementations.
