Job summary

Renewable Energy Systems Ltd is seeking a Lead Technician to supervise a field crew responsible for operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities. The role covers preventive and corrective maintenance of solar panels, trackers, inverters, and substation components.

You will mentor technicians, coordinate with managers, and ensure safety and compliance on site. Candidates should have electrical maintenance experience, MV/HV knowledge, and proficiency with CMMS and JHA processes.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in technical field required.
• 5+ years related electrical maintenance experience required.
• 3+ years medium voltage electrical work experience required.
• 2+ years high voltage electrical work experience required.
• 2+ years managing or leading field technicians.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of field service technicians in operating and maintaining utility-scale solar facilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on on-site assets (solar panels, trackers, inverters, substation components).
• Mentor junior technicians and coordinate with senior managers for plant maintenance.
• Interface with owners, equipment manufacturers, and subcontractors to ensure project success.
• Develop and administer site operating and safety plans and conduct JHA.
• Respond to emergencies within 1.5 hours and operate company vehicles per policy.
