Job summary

Sargent & Lundy’s Consulting group is seeking a senior performance engineer to lead solar PV energy yield assessments for utility-scale projects. You will specialize in PV performance modeling using PVsyst and Excel-based tools, with opportunities to expand into CSP, wind, and storage projects.

The role involves collaborating with developers, utilities, and financiers on high-visibility engagements, performing uncertainty analyses (P90/P95/P99), and communicating results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a science discipline and a comprehensive understanding of solar resource assessment and energy yield prediction methodology.
• 3+ years of experience in the energy industry, including design of utility-scale solar projects, renewable energy consulting, or renewables due diligence.
• Experience with statistical modeling and data analytics; proficiency with data analysis tools.

• Analyze operational production and climatic data from solar projects.
