Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Master Technician to safely maintain and repair Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot systems, and maximize production while upholding rigorous safety standards.

This role involves working on solar modules, strings, trackers and inverters, with opportunities to learn across electrical theory and NEC code. Domestic travel and on-call weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with electrical systems and components.
• Able to read and interpret schematics accurately.
• Proficient with MS Office suite.
• Willingness to travel and work on-call; OSHA 1910/NFPA 70E/70B knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Uphold a high level of safety standards in everything you do.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, service, troubleshooting and repair of solar facilities.
• Learn NEC code, electrical theory, and industry best practices.
• Perform DC and AC testing and interpret schematics.
• Maintain equipment and service reports, safety paperwork, and parts inventory.
• Provide maintenance and troubleshooting training to technicians.
• Identify hazards and take corrective action.
