Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks a Senior Software Engineer 3 Tester in Annapolis Junction, MD, to lead automated testing for high‑throughput C++ software and test environments. This role requires active TS/SCI with Polygraph and hands‑on expertise in designing and executing automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with systems and hardware engineers, develop Python and Shell scripts, and ensure software components meet strict performance and interface specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 15 years of software engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity, OR 19 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Hands-on proficiency in C++, with Python and Shell scripting capabilities.
• Experience modernizing CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated continuous testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with test infrastructure hardware including SDRs and enterprise test servers.
• Proven ability to lead software test efforts and establish software development process standards.
• Ability to work with systems and hardware engineers to assess hardware/software trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and execute automated testing suites for complex C++ applications.
• Modernize CI/CD pipelines to support automated build processes and testing workflows.
• Write robust test automation scripts using Python and Shell.
• Validate interfaces and integration points against test infrastructure including SDRs and lab servers.
• Analyze requirements to derive detailed design and performance testing criteria.
• Debug code, identify root causes, and implement remediation.
• Lead QA across multi-functional engineering teams and drive testing standards.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to assess trade-offs and constraints.
• Document test procedures and results, plus software design documentation.
