Job summary

J T in Maryland seeks a senior Software Engineer 3 Tester to lead automated testing for high-throughput C++ software. You will design, build, and run test suites, modernize CI/CD and work with SDR hardware in Annapolis Junction.

Ideal candidates have extensive C++ and Python scripting experience, strong leadership skills, and a track record of delivering robust test solutions in integrated hardware/software environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 15+ years of software engineering experience on programs/contracts of similar scope and complexity, OR 19 years of relevant software engineering experience without a degree.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in C++, with Python and Shell scripting.
• Experience modernizing CI/CD pipelines and implementing automated continuous testing.
• Familiarity with SDRs and enterprise test servers.
• Proven ability to lead software test efforts and enforce QA standards.

Responsibilities

• Architect and execute automated testing suites and frameworks for complex C++ apps.
• Modernize and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and continuous testing.
• Write robust test automation scripts using Python and Shell.
• Validate interfaces against SDRs and lab server environments.
• Derive detailed performance testing criteria from requirements.
• Debug code, identify root causes, and implement remediations.
• Lead software test teams and oversee QA processes.
• Collaborate with systems and hardware engineers on trade-offs.
• Produce test procedures, reports, and design documentation.
