Job summary

KBR is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software through comprehensive testing and validation. The role covers manual and automated testing, test plan creation, and collaboration with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure defects are resolved and requirements are met.

Responsibilities include designing automated tests, executing test suites, and contributing to CI/CD and QA best practices while supporting Agile

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or related roles.
• Experience performing both manual and automated testing across enterprise applications.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts and test automation frameworks.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum software delivery environments.
• Understanding of SDLC, testing methodologies, and QA best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing for new and existing software applications.
• Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to improve coverage and repeatability.
• Execute automated test suites and support continuous testing initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Identify, document, and track defects, perform retesting, and validate resolutions.
• Support testing for system integrations, data validation, and interoperability.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and assist with environment prep and data management.
• Contribute to QA process improvements and automation initiatives.
