Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Software Test Engineer in Chantilly, Virginia to ensure quality, reliability, and performance of enterprise software applications through comprehensive testing.

The role collaborates with developers, product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders and supports both manual and automated testing across the software lifecycle. The successful candidate will develop test plans, maintain automated scripts, contribute to CI/CD initiatives, and help improve testing efficiency,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/SE.
• Minimum five years in software QA/testing.
• Experience with manual and automated testing.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum environments.
• U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional, system, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Develop and maintain test plans, cases, scripts, and documentation.
• Design and maintain automated test scripts.
• Execute automated test suites and support CI/CD initiatives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define test criteria and acceptance.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects.
• Assist with test environment prep and release readiness.
• Contribute to QA process improvements.
