Job summary

ANA in Henderson, Nevada is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer in an onsite role to lead testing efforts and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products, collaborating with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to define test strategies across cloud, edge, and integrated system boundaries.

The position emphasizes hands-on test design and automation using Postman, PyTest, and Playwright, with CI/CD involvement and mentoring for junior testers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in software testing, with leadership.
• Proficient with Docker, Python, TypeScript and React for cloud and app development.
• Proficient with AWS services including S3, DynamoDB, RDS, IOT/Core, Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Proficient testing RESTful and/or event-driven APIs.
• Proficient with data pipelines and asynchronous processing patterns.
• Proficient with automated testing frameworks such as Postman, PyTest and Playwright.
• Proficient with SCM tools and methodologies including Git, GitHub, and CI/CD.
• Familiar with MQTT and TCP/IP for IoT and telematics data ingestion.
• Proficient with VS Code and debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development teams, product managers, and stakeholders to define test objectives, scope, and schedules.
• Participate in project planning and provide updates on test progress and outcomes.
• Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans for software projects, including functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
• Lead end-to-end testing strategies across cloud, edge, and integrated systems.
• Design, develop, and execute test cases based on requirements.
• Create automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Maintain CI/CD environment for a small- to mid-sized software team.
• Conduct exploratory testing to identify edge cases and perform manual testing as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
