Job summary

NuAxis is seeking a Software Test Lead to guide QA for enterprise web applications, delivering secure, accessible, and high-performing software. You will oversee manual and automated testing, develop test strategies, and lead the effort across the SDLC for a federal program.

The role emphasizes automated test frameworks (Cypress), performance testing (JMeter/Locust), and accessibility compliance (Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA), with remote or hybrid collaboration and strong integration into CI/CD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/SWE or related field.
• 7+ years software testing and QA experience.
• 3+ years leading QA teams or as a Test Lead.
• Experience designing automated frameworks using Cypress.
• Experience performance/load testing with JMeter/Locust.
• Experience testing REST APIs with Postman/Swagger/REST Assured.
• Experience validating responsive web apps across browsers/devices.
• Experience accessibility testing for Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong SDLC/STLC understanding and defect lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA planning, design, execution, and reporting across the SDLC.
• Develop and maintain Test Strategies, Plans, Cases, and Reports.
• Establish automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Design and run automated functional, regression, integration, and E2E tests.
• Plan performance/load testing with JMeter/Locust and analyze results.
• Lead accessibility testing for 508 and WCAG compliance.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to define criteria and acceptance tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track metrics.
