Job summary

CTS International in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Systems Engineer (Senior/SME) to join the Ground Software Engineering team. The role focuses on development for satellite ground software in an agile environment with CI/CD and automated testing.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in space systems software, strong DoD clearance, and experience leading projects using Java, C++, or Python. Onsite work and collaboration with government programs are expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development for space systems and ground segments
• 5+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (Requirements, Design, Code, Integr., Test)
• 3+ years of leading software development projects
• 3+ years of experience with Java, C++, or Python
• Experience in Agile software development and DevOps
• DoD Secret Clearance required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, algorithms, interfaces, and design for high-performance C2 software solutions.
• Lead software development activities in a scaled agile environment with DevSecOps integration.
• Support progress demonstrations to customer representatives and IPT leadership.
• Perform day-to-day activities in Product Owner/Technical Lead, Release Train Engineer/Scrum Master, and Integration & Test lead roles.
• Support IPT by implementing structured development and integration schedules with a controlled cost baseline.
