Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems is seeking a WES Solutions Architect to translate sales into deliverable software. You will drive Level 2 specifications, attach firm estimates, and guide pre-sales through to delivery with the software team and customers.

You will define IT and network requirements, author integration specs, and lead design workshops, with travel up to 50% as needed. Join a team delivering complex warehouse automation software in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development, systems analysis, solution design, or technical project delivery for WES/WCS, WMS, or other industrial software.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Experience writing design specs, functional requirements, or integration documents and defending them with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop Level 2 SDS expanding on Level 1 SDS and solution guidance for customer proposals.
• Build firm estimates for software scope, converting ROM pre-sales numbers into hours, deliverables, and assumptions.
• Partner with Solutions Software team through L1 to L2 transitions to align scope with delivery.
• Lead design workshops with customers, stakeholders, and Software Delivery Team.
• Conduct onsite discovery to validate requirements, material flow, and existing systems.
• Own the project backlog and participate in Scrum ceremonies with the team.
• Define IT/network specs including servers, virtualization, hardware, security, and infra needs.
• Author integration specs for DATUM subsystems and WMS/ERP messaging.
