Job summary

Avum, Inc. is seeking a Software Release Manager to lead end-to-end coordination of software releases.

You will own the release lifecycle, establish structured processes, manage dependencies, and drive reliable, scalable delivery in a high-growth environment. In this role, you will partner with product, engineering, and QA teams, improve release performance, and implement best practices and automation when possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software delivery, DevOps, or release management.
• Experience releasing applications in Low Code/No Code environments like Appian.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• Strong SDLC and release management knowledge.
• Proficient in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product managers, engineering teams, and stakeholders to define release plans aligned with business objectives and project timelines.
• Manage the end-to-end release lifecycle, including scheduling, coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that may impact release quality or timelines.
• Partner with QA teams to ensure releases meet quality standards and are free of critical defects.
• Maintain accurate release documentation, including release notes, deployment procedures, and version control information.
• Facilitate communication and alignment across cross-functional teams throughout the release process.
