Job description

We are seeking an experienced Change & Release Manager to join a dynamic technology team responsible for managing the end-to-end release lifecycle across multiple platforms and environments. The role focuses on translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring stable, reliable, and efficient software deployments. This position combines technical expertise, process governance, and collaboration across development and operations teams to optimize release processes and minimize service disruptions.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Release Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage detailed release schedules for applications across platforms such as Java, Node.js, MuleSoft, Azure, etc., ensuring minimal service disruption and adherence to change restrictions.
  • Change Governance: Lead Change Control Board (CCB) meetings, facilitate approval processes, obtain leadership authorization, and align changes with deployment strategies like blue-green and canary releases.
  • Release Analysis & Reporting: Analyze release scope, feature flag dependencies, and change restriction periods; prepare data-driven summaries for leadership to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Collaboration & Metrics: Work with engineering and product teams to design and maintain release metric dashboards using Power BI, ServiceNow, and other internal tools, providing real-time insights into stability and performance.
  • Process Automation & CI/CD: Implement and promote automated deployment strategies and CI/CD pipelines to streamline release workflows, reduce manual intervention, and improve reliability.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Ensure clear communication and visibility of release calendars, operational readiness, and incident follow-ups, maintaining SLA compliance.
  • Technical Guidance & Best Practices: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on release scheduling, freeze periods, performance metrics, and high-level system flows. Advise teams on industry best practices for change management and deployment reliability.

  3. Incident Management & SLA Compliance: Provide timely follow-up on incident tickets and ensure adherence to SLA targets.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in change and/or release management with proven success managing full software release lifecycles.
  • Experience in high-tech, software, or wireless/telecom industries is highly desirable.
  • Solid technical foundation in software development, web technologies, release management, and metrics dashboards.
  • Experience with scaled agile development teams and familiarity with SAFe framework.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, able to convert complex release data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, capable of presenting technical information clearly to peers and senior leaders.
  • Technical proficiency with Atlassian Jira & Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Lists, full-stack web design, and application architecture.
  • PMO certification or project management background preferred.
