Job summary

Harris is seeking a Senior Corporate Development Associate to build a robust pipeline of vertical-market software investments in the United States or Canada, with travel to targets alongside senior leadership. You will identify opportunities, assess strategic fit, and move them through evaluation and closing.

You will develop trusted relationships with founders and senior executives, partnering with the M&A execution team and leveraging AI tools to improve research, prioritization, and workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in corporate development, private equity, investment banking, or related environments.
• Proven ability to source, qualify, and advance acquisition opportunities beyond transaction support.
• Experience engaging credibly with founders, owners, and senior executives.
• Knowledge of vertical-market software markets and their dynamics.
• A practical point of view on applying AI to research, sourcing, and workflow.

Responsibilities

• Build the investment pipeline by identifying vertical-market software opportunities aligned with goals.
• Develop trusted relationships with founders and senior executives and position Harris for future opportunities.
• Collaborate with the M&A execution team to move opportunities through evaluation, offers, and closing.
• Share feedback and lead by example to strengthen sourcing, prioritization, and investment judgment.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve market mapping, research, and workflow efficiency.
