Horizontal Talent seeks a Senior Software Integration Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team focused on integrating and testing real-time, embedded software in a complex vehicle environment.

You will collaborate across hardware and software integration, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to mission-critical systems with a strong emphasis on quality and teamwork. Expect on-site work with travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related discipline.
• Experience integrating software on embedded Linux platforms.
• Ability to package software as RPMs or binaries.
• Experience with drivers, shared objects, and static libraries.
• Familiarity with Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
• Proficient in version control and issue tracking (Git, Jira/GitLab).
• Strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work on-site as needed.
• Experience with combat vehicle systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and validate real-time software in vehicle environments.
• Build and maintain integration test environments for hardware/software verification.
• Test systems using Ethernet and CAN bus; troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze problems.
• Support software verification to meet quality goals.
• Contribute to cybersecurity hardening and vulnerability scans.
• Mentor other engineers and share best practices.
• Maintain customer and stakeholder relationships on-site as required.
